| The Utah Air Force Association invites your participation in the 29th Annual AFA Focus on Defense. This event has gained national recognition in the defense community and has provided over half a million dollars in charity proceeds to support aerospace education. We anticipate, once again this year, participation by senior Air Force leaders, aerospace industry executives and local business people.
The format will be very similar to those of past years. The all-day Focus on Defense Symposium will be held on June 18, 2008 followed by the golf tournament on June 19 & 20, 2008. As always, there will be social events each evening. Please note that the Focus on Defense Symposium will be held at the Davis Conference Center at 800 West Heritage Park Boulevard in Layton (www.davisconferencecenter.com).
This year’s theme is “Integrated Life Cycle Management: Enterprise Support to the War Fighter-Strategies”. This year our conference will focus on strategies for weapon system program integrated life-cycle management (ILCM) while discussing the organizational links and decision making structure required to provide more program discipline and stability from "cradle to grave”. Air Force leadership will share their perspectives on the organizational and process priorities and challenges for ILCM success. |
|
Industry leaders will bring extensive and valuable experience in these areas, speaking on their views on the critical linkage between organizations, processes and technology enablers needed to achieve program goals. Additionally, conference attendees will be very interested in understanding the impact ILCM will have on their roles in the acquisition and sustainment of AF weapon systems. Senior officers and executives will be here to give an up to date look at this vital subject.
On behalf of the Utah AFA, we encourage your participation in this year’s symposium and charity golf tournament. Registration will begin on 25 February. Our website provides all the current event information and will answer most of your questions. However, please contact Laura Kay Lee at (801) 479-4036 or email to laurakay_marykay@yahoo.com for questions regarding sponsorship opportunities, advertising or tee and green sponsorships or call Rick Hartle at (801) 315-2303.
